The Under 10 Purple team plays in the Coventry Youth League on Sunday mornings.

The most important thing is that the children have fun and enjoy themselves.

U10 Purple W - L SoccerRockz Wreaking Balls

Leamington Juniors U10 Purple put on an entertaining display at home against SoccerRockz on Sunday Morning. They made a strong start but conceded to a well struck free kick against the run of play. Heads didn't drop and they boys continued to play some fantastic free flowing football and were rewarded with a fine equaliser from Sam who slammed the ball into the back of the net from a distance.

In the second half Juniors began to exert even more dominance scoring some fabulous goals. The passing was crisp and the finishing ruthless with the outstanding Toby deservedly being awarded Player of the Match although in truth any of the boys could have won the award such was the quality of the team performance.

Bedworth United L - W U10 Purple

Leamington Juniors made a strong start to the game, putting Bedworth defenders under pressure from the kickoff. Juniors were rewarded early on when Sam took a great first touch before firing low into the bottom corner from 20 yards out. Bedworth came back into the game but Juniors defenders Bertie and Ollie stood firm with goalkeeper, Joe a solid calm figure behind them making some great saves throughout the game. Juniors continued to press forward and scored a second when Ollie prodded home at the back post.

In the second half, Juniors really exerted their dominance and scored again through a lovely individual effort from Toby. Rufus added a fouth sliding in at the back post. Bedworth pulled one back before Edward made sure of the win with two goals the second of which was a lovely free kick from a distance ino the bottom corner. All the boys played brilliantly and showed great skill and commitment to the end. This was particularly the case with Stefan who was Player of the Match for his mix of tenacity and skill.

Christ the King Blue L - W U10 Purple

Leamington Juniors battled to a hard earn victory in a reaaranged cup math on Thursday Evening. A slow start saw Juniors go one down through an unfortunate own goal. However they showed great character to get back into the game and got a deserved equaliser as Edward showed great determination to keep the ball in play and cross for Toby to slot home. CTK continued to look dangerous and retook the lead but Juniors responded again when Edward again provided the assist this time for Artem to finish nicely. Juniors defence held firm with Bertie breaking up play on numerous occasions allowing them to push forward and eventually getting a well deserved winner through Rufus. The boys defended well as a team and continued to repel everthing that was thrown at them with Juniors eventually seeing out the game to get their second win in the cup group stages.

SoccerRockz Wrecking Balls L -  W U10 Purple

Juniors made it 3 wins out of 3 in the cup group stages with a well earned victory over a spirited SoccerRockz. Juniors started strongly and created a number of great opportunites to score but a combination of bad lucki and exceptional goalkeeping kept them out. Edward was a constant threat down the right with Toby, Rufus, Sam and Artem all getting into excellent positions. However, it was the home side who took the lead totally against the run of play and went into half time one up. 

Juniors didnt let their heads drop and started the second half as well as the played in the first. As a result, it wasnt long before the scores were level with a well taken goal by Sam. It was 2-1 soon after when Rufus got on the score sheet. Artem made it 3-1 to make things a bit more comfortable but SoccerRockz got back into the game with their second goal. Any nerves were settled when Artem slammed home for a fouth. Juniors saw out the rest of the game without any issues and will look to the next round and hopefully bring home some silverware!

Why do you like playing for Leamington Juniors?

Toby - Because I love playing football.

Ollie - Fun team to play for and the players are talented and I feel like I fit in well.

Edward - Because I can play with my friends and the coaching is really good.

Sam - Cos my dad's awesome and I love him so much, its just a great way to spend some time with him, and I really appreciate all of the 'encourangement' he should have take over the England job! In reality he said; he loves playing football and we've got a good squad and LFC because they're a proper local team and likes going to the stadium and going on the pitch.
