U10 Orange vs Lillington Magpies
Hi team,
Our match against Lillington Magpies marked an improved beginning for Leamington Juniors as we demostrated resilience by not conceding early goals and intensifying our battle for possession.
In the first half, our performance was good. We won crucial battles, with effective passing, and we made several promising plays that offered us scoring opportunities. Unfortunately, an unlucky own goal edged Lillington into the lead.
The pattern continued in the second half. Despite Lillington capitalising on their chances, we persevered and made opportunities of our own, through luck wasn't on our side in converting them. Ultimately, the scoreline read 3-0.
Regardless of the outcome, I'm encouraged by how well we played. With the addidtion of five new players of mixed abilities this season, it's heartening to see everyone gel and make meaningful contributions to the team.
